This web site is the result of a unique three-way partnership combining the efforts of the the Gao Office Malien du Tourisme et de l'H�tellerie, the tourism business owners in Gao, and the United States Peace Corps.
This web site was built in conjunction with the creation of Gao's new Tourist Visitor Center (opened in October 2005), in an effort to develop two reliable sources (one on-line, one in Gao itself) for promoting Gao as a unique and interesting Saharan and Niger River adventure destination.
